Waiting And Watching
As obedience becomes the fervor
of our lives, God's spirit will open
our ears to wait for His teaching.
We will be content with nothing
less than DIVINE guidance into
God's perfect will for us.
In Christ, this obedience was unto death.
When He spoke, "I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will,
but the will of Him that sent me" (John 6:38), He was ready to go to
all lengths in denying His own will and doing the Father's will. He may have said
to Himself, 'In nothing, my will; at all costs, God's will.'
This is the obedience to which He invites
us and for which He enpowers us. This whole-
hearted surrender to obedience in everything
is the only true obedience. It is the only power
that will survive to carry us through life.
